LUCID: Land Use and Climate: IDentification of robust impacts

The project “Land-Use and Climate, IDentification of robust impacts” (LUCID) was conceived in 2008 under the auspices of IGBP- iLEAPS  and GEWEX-GLASS  to address the robustness of possible impacts of land cover changes (LCC) at a local and remote level.
LUCID explores those impacts LCC that are robust – that is, above the noise generated by model variability and consistent across multiple climate models.
LUCID has also explored how LCC affects extremes and most recently has coordinated and undertaken analyses of LUCID-CMIP5 simulations under the leadership of Victor Brovkin.
